Universal Remote ("the App") is published by Mobile Alchemy. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We do not require account creation, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

Device configurations — remote control setups, learned IR codes, custom remotes, and scenes you create.
Preferences — appearance settings, haptic preferences, and other app settings stored in UserDefaults.
Network device data — IP addresses, MAC addresses, and pairing credentials for smart TVs and streaming devices on your local network.

This data is stored only on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. We cannot access your iCloud data.

Network Activity

The App communicates over your local network to discover and control smart TVs, streaming devices, and IR blasters. It also makes requests to:

IR code databases — to download infrared codes for your devices. These requests do not include personal information.
Adapty — our subscription management provider, to verify in-app purchase status. Adapty's privacy policy is available at adapty.io/privacy.

Bluetooth

The App uses Bluetooth to communicate with IR blaster dongles (e.g., Tiqiaa). Bluetooth is used solely for device communication and is not used for tracking or beacons.

Local Network

The App uses the local network permission to discover and communicate with smart TVs, streaming devices, and network-connected IR blasters on your Wi-Fi network.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, there is no children's data to protect.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases and Adapty for subscription management. No other third-party services are integrated.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
